My first memory of noticing energy other than the 5 basic senses, (Sight, Hearing, Smell, Touch, Taste) was as an innocent child (4 or 5 years old). Seeing and sensing mostly at night, thinking that it couldn’t be real. I felt a heightened sense of people and their moods, call it intuition, but without the necessary tools to manage this type of energy.
I enjoy caring for others and found that a hospital-based nursing care setting to be a good fit. The empathic and sensitivity piece was a gift for, not only me, but for those I cared for. Hospital nursing was my profession for 12 years.
Comprehending more regarding intuition and empathy was what lead me to a career change. The next 20 years were spent in the Pharmaceutical Industry crossing paths with countless individuals. The early years of my career were a bit perplexing. I was unsure how to manage the intuitional- energy. For the latter years, my focus was, turning the energy on and tuning it in, like a radio station. And to this day I am, tuning in to energy.
In Early 1994, almost 25 years ago, I experienced a profound, “spiritual experience” which changed my life. Fortunately, someone who is very dear to me, spent time explaining and helping me understand the meaning of “Energy of Love and Light” and I am eternally grateful for her. This was a defining moment in my journey which would be unique to many yet quite normal to some.
Over the years I have crossed paths with teachers meant to educate me and I have also shared my expertise with others as well. And now my daughter, Julianna, and I actively exchange mentoring and teaching roles. “Fascinating how life-lessons on earth evolve.”
This Spiritual Path of Reiki Energy Healing attracts healers, seeking to enhance their healing abilities and those in need of healing, each seeking a community of love and light with open conversation. My spiritual growth continues on a daily basis. I am grateful for everyone who crosses my path, as each one has been a teacher for me to some degree.
Over the years I have shared some of my experiences and know my children carry these traits.
I enjoy teaching Reiki I, Reiki II, and Advanced & Reiki III, and sharing what I have learned over the years, but nothing comes close to how I feel when allowing the energy to flow through me, and is accepted by an individual open to healing. It’s remarkable!

My exposure to energy as a child was illustrated through my up-bringing by my mother and father. My parents shared the importance of respecting and nurturing mother nature, developing a healthy lifestyle, and cultivating spirituality. All of these experiences raised my energy awareness, although I didn't know it at the time. My upbringing encouraged me to be a critical thinker and active learner. I had a strong belief that "just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist". I knew this because I could FEEL the energy and I trusted in my intuition. My entire life I have experienced energy by feeling and absorbing other people's emotions and physical symptoms. I could feel these things by merely walking into a crowded room or having a short conversation with a stranger.
Over the past 15 years I graduated from college, worked the corporate gig for 13 years, moved to 5 different states, worked internationally, married, and started a family. Regardless of where I lived, people would come in and out of my life and I felt their personal struggles emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. I tried to console them and guide based on natural intuition, but always wished I could help in a more impactful way. After years of reading self help books, practicing power of positive thought and creating space for self-care, I was guided to attend a women's retreat at Miravel in Tucson Arizona. This retreat created space for my "spiritual awakening". Thankfully I had my mother to discuss the awakening and embrace my gift.
It has taken me many years to articulate my understanding of this powerful gift. I continue to learn daily about the intimate connection between myself and universal energy. I felt the nudge to connect with this energy and focus on the greater good in myself and others. Thankfully my mother is an energy guru and exposed me to Reiki, a healing modality that resonated with me. In 2013, I experienced first hand the benefits of Reiki and continued frequent treatments over the next 4 years. I was delighted to have found such a powerful self-healing technique to help with stress, health and staying balanced in an otherwise hectic life. In 2017, I became a Reiki practitioner and partnered with my mother, Cindy Breeze, co-founding The Energy Healing Center in Sylvania, Ohio.
